When you add a new site or purchase add-ons mid-cycle, Paathz charges a prorated amount covering only the days remaining until your next anniversary — not a full month.
The formula
- Prorated charge = full monthly cost × (days remaining ÷ total days in cycle).
- Uses your existing organization anniversary as the cycle boundary.
- All math runs in integer cents with banker's rounding on the final amount.
Worked example
- Your cycle: January 5 → February 5 (31 days total).
- You purchase an extra hire on January 12 ($30/month full rate).
- Days remaining: 24 (January 12 through February 4).
- Proration fraction: 24 ÷ 31 = 0.7742.
- Prorated charge: $30 × 0.7742 = $23.23 charged immediately.
- From February 5 onward, you're billed $30/month on each anniversary.
What gets prorated
- New site additions.
- Extra job post purchases.
- Extra hire purchases.
What doesn't get prorated
- Renewal charges on each anniversary (always full month).
- Reductions or cancellations (existing capacity continues to cycle end, no refund).
- Trial period (no charges at all until your billing-start date).
| Good to know You can preview the exact prorated amount before committing — every add-on and site purchase shows a live quote with the proration math applied. The quoted price is locked for a short window; if you commit promptly, that's the price charged. |
