Changing your subscription before the next billing cycle

When auto-pay is on (your saved payment method on Stripe), your subscription renews automatically on your anniversary date each month. Changes you make can either take effect immediately with a prorated charge, or take effect at the start of your next cycle with no immediate charge — which one depends on the change.

Changes that take effect immediately (with a prorated charge)

• Adding a new site to your organization.
• Purchasing extra job posts for a site.
• Purchasing extra hires for a site.
• Applying a discount code at the moment of a new purchase.
• These hit your saved payment method right away for the days remaining in the current cycle, then bill at full rate from your next anniversary.

Changes that take effect at the start of next cycle (no immediate charge)

• Reducing extra job posts or extra hires — existing capacity drains at cycle end.
• Cancelling an individual site — it stays active until cycle end.
• Cancelling your entire organization subscription — all sites stay active until cycle end.
• Toggling the Restaurants flag on a site — new pricing applies from the next cycle.
• Plan downgrades from Enterprise back to Growth.

How to make a change effective next cycle

• For reductions and cancellations, just make the change now — the system handles the timing automatically. The confirmation modal tells you the exact date it takes effect.
• For increases you want timed for next cycle rather than mid-cycle, wait until after your anniversary date to make the change. V1 doesn't support scheduling future-dated increases — they always apply immediately when committed.

Previewing the impact before you commit

• Use "Preview next invoice" in the billing dashboard to see what your next full cycle will cost with the change applied.
• During add-on or site purchase, you'll see a live prorated quote before confirming — the quoted price is locked for a short window, so the price you see is the price you're charged if you commit promptly.
