Your saved payment method is what Paathz charges on each anniversary — added through Stripe at first payment, managed entirely from your billing dashboard afterward.
Adding a payment method
- Done at first payment via Stripe's secure payment form.
- Paathz never sees or stores your raw card details.
- We store only the token reference, card brand, last 4 digits, and expiry month/year for display.
Managing payment methods
- View all saved payment methods in Billing → Payment methods.
- Add additional methods at any time.
- Designate which one is the default for recurring charges.
- Remove old or expired methods (you'll need at least one default at all times).
Updating an expired card
- Add the new card via Stripe's form.
- Set it as default.
- Remove the expired one (optional but tidier).
- Updates take effect immediately for any pending or future charges.
Seeing why a payment failed
- Failed charges show the processor's decline reason (expired card, insufficient funds, bank block, etc.).
- This appears in your billing dashboard during a grace period.
- Use this to know whether to update the card or contact your bank.
Security
- All payment data lives in Stripe, not in Paathz.
- Paathz holds only tokenized references, last 4 digits, and brand for display.
- PCI-DSS scope offloaded entirely to Stripe; no card data on Paathz systems.
| Good to know Airwallex and other processors are on the roadmap but not in version— Stripe is the only option at launch. Once additional processors ship, you'll be able to select between them at first payment; existing customers won't be forced to switch. |
